Privacy notice
How personal information is handled when you use Easy Web Publish.
Who is responsible for your information?
Easy Web Publish is responsible for the personal information handled through this service. You can contact us at support@easywebpublish.com.
What information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may process your username, display name, email address, account and login information, Page content and uploaded files, profile information, password-reset and verification records, storage usage, and technical/security information such as IP-derived security identifiers and login-attempt records.
Why we use it
We use this information to create and operate accounts, publish and deliver Pages, provide password recovery and email verification, administer storage, protect the service against misuse, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
Our lawful bases
Where processing is necessary to provide the service you ask us to provide, we rely on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. For security, abuse prevention and the administration of the service, we may rely on legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Where the law requires consent for a particular activity, we will ask for it separately.
Public content
If you publish a Page, the information and files you choose to publish are available publicly on the internet. Draft Pages are restricted to the account owner and administrators. You should only upload or publish material that you have the right to share and should avoid including unnecessary personal information about other people.
Who we share information with
Information may be processed by suppliers that provide hosting, email delivery, spam filtering and other technical services needed to run Easy Web Publish. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Account and Page information is normally kept while the account or content remains active. Security and administrative records may be retained for a reasonable period where needed to protect the service, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Password-reset and email-verification tokens expire automatically.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information in certain circumstances, including rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You can contact us at support@easywebpublish.com if you want to exercise a right or ask a privacy question.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled.
Cookies
